  • We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Housebuilder Account Executive to join our team and play a key role in supporting and strengthening relationships with our housebuilder partners. In this role, you will help drive sales growth, deliver exceptional account management, and ensure a seamless experience for our customers across the residential construction sector.     About Your Role
    • To position Brett Landscaping as the supplier of choice for hard landscaping products across the residential and housebuilding sectors by targeting and influencing the key stakeholders i.e., designers/specifiers/developers and the design teams within house builders and premium developers. 
    • Engage with designers on projects at an early/design stage with a clear focus on our Facemix and premium ranges in order to generate specifications and opportunities for Brett Landscaping. 
    • Increase the volume, revenue & margin of Brett Landscaping Products, through the generation of new specifications and business within the residential market in line with company targets and budgets.
    • To develop new markets for our Facemix and Premium ranges with high end and bespoke developers. Generating opportunities and sales whilst creating meaningful and long-term relationships with this customer base.
    • Secure orders and deliver sales for Brett Landscaping products through effective project management and taking full responsibility on agreed projects.
    • Using market understanding alongside quantitative and qualitative research to effectively target key market sectors to drive and direct our commercial and marketing activities 
     
    We're Looking For 
     
    Essential
    • Deep commercial understanding of the UK hard‑landscaping and housebuilding market, with the ability to translate insight into effective account strategies.
    •  Proficient in reading and interpreting landscaping, site layout and construction drawings, supporting accurate specification and project planning.
    •  Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a natural talent for building strong relationships across housebuilder, contractor and distributor networks.
    •  Highly organised with strong planning capability, able to manage a varied workload, prioritise effectively and deliver against deadlines.
    •  Proven ability to lead, influence and persuade stakeholders, driving commercial outcomes.
    •  Energetic, driven and self‑motivated, demonstrating a proactive approach to achieving sales targets and account growth.
    •  Excellent technical and product understanding, enabling confident conversations with procurement teams, site managers and technical departments.
    •  Resilient and solutions‑focused, able to navigate challenges, objections and setbacks while maintaining momentum.
    •  Experience using the Barbour ABI platform, leveraging data to identify opportunities, track projects and build a healthy pipeline.
    •  Strong natural sales instincts, with the ability to uncover customer needs and convert opportunities into revenue.
    •  Competent IT user, confident with CRM systems, reporting tools and Microsoft Office applications.
    •  Inquisitive and fast‑learning, comfortable researching new information, industry trends and product innovations to enhance performance.
    Desirable 
    • Understanding of the wider building materials sector, including associated products, supply chains and routes to market.
    • Confident presenting skills, able to deliver clear, engaging and persuasive presentations to internal teams and external stakeholders.
    • Experienced CRM user, with the ability to maintain accurate records, manage pipelines and produce meaningful activity reports.
    • Strong IT proficiency, particularly across Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce professional documents, reports and presentations.
    • Previous sales and specification experience, ideally within construction, landscaping or building materials, with evidence of influencing specifications and securing project wins.
