  • About The Role

  • We are seeking a dedicated Weighbridge Operative to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the weighbridge operations, ensuring precise recording of vehicle weights and maintaining compliance with industry standards. If you have excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.
     
    About Your Role
    • Smooth and safe running of the site operations, with safe and efficient materials processing ensuring a short turnaround time for customers visiting the site.
    • Consistent and accurate production of completed weighbridge tickets
    • Management of site access, ensuring visitors sign in/out of the visitors book
    • Report all Health and Safety incidents and any accidents or near misses to management.
    • To weigh vehicles and produce a legible sales docket which will provide the basis of invoicing or the collection of card payment.
    • Maintain accurate records of all sales transactions from the site.
    • Undertake inspections of plant/equipment/site as required by company procedures.
    • Ensure that all materials are received and dispatched in accordance with company procedures.
    • Be a key point of contact with customers using Brett sites and work to make the customer’s visit to site as quick and pleasant as possible.
    • To adhere to legal requirements of Highways Act.
    • Adhere to the legal requirements of the sites environmental permits and personal duty of care in regards to waste acceptance.
    • Provide admin support to the operations team as appropriate.
    We're Looking For 
    • Experience of working in a quarry or aggregates production role is desirable, though non-essential.
    • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
    • Collaborative attitude working as part of a small operational team.
    • Good organisational skills, able to organize your own time efficiently.
    • Proactively identify and solve problems.
    • Awareness of Health and Safety legislation and own responsibilities for Health and Safety.
    • A customer-focused individual that understands that the customer comes first.
